Devroom submission

Thanks for applying for a devroom. Please note that by applying for a devroom you are making a commitment to fill the schedule for your track, at least for a half day track.

Devroom coordinators must enter a complete schedule into our conference system by 31th December. It is particularly important to be available and to respond promptly to emails about the schedule for about a week either side of this date. This year we also require all proposals to be submitted directly by the speakers into our system.

We are working on an online platform (streaming +chat) allowing devroom organizers to run the conference with either prerorded talks with live qa and live presentations. All recordings will be archived and will be published under the same license as all FOSDEM content (CC-BY). Even for live presentations, we want a pre-recorded version as a fallback in case of connectivity problems.

As this is our first online event, we are still figuring out the details on scheduling: please mention in the comments what your prefered timespan would be on either saturday and/or sunday.

For this years online edition we want to point out that a devroom can not be organised by one person alone. Especially during the event you will need at least 6 volunteers at hand to help out (one continuously monitoring the stream, one helping with the setup of the next speaker and one moderating the talks. It is the devroom manager responsability to assemble this team.
